Resmed AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her - the first APAP device especially for women

With the AirSense™ 10 AutoSet for Her, Resmed offers an innovative APAP device developed specifically for the needs of women with sleep apnea. With its modern design and a variety of new comfort features, AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her offers female patients suffering from obstructive sleep apnea a completely new dimension of APAP therapy. The special feature of the AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her is that an algorithm specially adapted to the breathing of female patients has been integrated for sleep apnea therapy.

Different symptoms require different measures

Women suffering from sleep apnea usually take a little longer to fall asleep than men and also more frequently experience breathing-related awakenings. The Apnea-Hypopnea Index (AHI) tends to be slightly lower in women than in men. They also tend to have fewer and shorter apneas (breathing pauses during the night). During REM sleep, however, women generally experience a higher number of less severe apneas. Even though sleep apnea in many women has often not been directly recognized as such in the past, approximately 40% of all newly diagnosed patients are female. For this reason, it was important for Resmed to develop a sleep therapy device that is designed for the special requirements of a woman.

Fully automatic therapy pressure - with every breath

The AirSense 10 Autoset for Her adapts the necessary therapy pressure to the needs of the patients and reliably detects any apneas occurring during sleep. The extended AutoSet algorithm responds individually to breathing and thus ensures the correspondingly necessary air supply. The exceptionally quiet Easy-Breath motor ensures natural and pleasant breathing. With the new AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her, you can enjoy an extremely efficient sleep apnea therapy.

Advantages of the AutoSet for Her algorithm

The AutoSet for Her algorithm is adapted to the breathing patterns of female sleep apnea patients. Studies have shown that in women with sleep apnea, the upper airways tend to close more often than in men, leading to an increased occurrence of so-called flow limitations. Thus, the AutoSet for Her algorithm was designed to react particularly sensitively to these flow limitations. The AutoSet for Her algorithm allows the therapy pressure to be adjusted very finely during use, thus minimizing sleep disturbances.

Softer sleep with "AutoRamp with sleep onset detection"

To help you fall asleep during therapy with the AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her, Resmed has developed the so-called "AutoRamp with sleep onset detection". It ensures that the pressure is initially kept at a comfortably low level during the sleep onset phase. As soon as you have fallen asleep, the pressure automatically increases to the prescribed treatment pressure. This allows you to benefit more quickly from the prescribed therapy. In addition, the "Ramp" can also be set manually to "Off" or to a duration between 5 to 45 minutes (in 5-minute increments) in addition to the "AutoRamp" setting.

Intuitive user interface

The AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her features a large, user-friendly color display with intuitive menu navigation. You can easily navigate through the existing menus using the control knob. The on/off button on the AirSense 10 is conveniently located on the top of the device, just like on an alarm clock. An additional "Home" button (marked with a house icon) allows you to easily return to the menu's home page.

Integrated wireless module (optionally activatable)

Like all AirSense 10 devices, the AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her is equipped with an integrated wireless module. This wireless module allows therapy and device data to be transmitted to Resmed to ensure even better care. With this innovative therapy care, we have the opportunity to respond more quickly and precisely to your questions about the device and your needs during therapy. Information on usage time, sleep quality, and night profiles can be managed via Resmed's AirView™ therapy management solution. The wireless module is, of course, only activated for data transfer with your express consent and is therefore optionally usable.

Cheyne-Stokes respiration detection

The Resmed AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her offers valuable insights into your health development with the newly integrated Cheyne-Stokes respiration detection. So-called Cheyne-Stokes respiration is a special form of sleep-related breathing disorders with a characteristic breathing pattern. The detection of Cheyne-Stokes respiration expands the proven detection of central apneas and helps to quickly identify any signs of this breathing disorder and to ensure the correct treatment.

Latest generation humidification

If you experience problems with a dry nose or mouth, or condensation in the mask, you should consider using a heated breathing tube. The new ClimateLineAir™ heated tubing system together with the new HumidAir™ humidifier, in conjunction with ClimateControl technology, ensure consistent humidification throughout the night. The new HumidAir humidifier is space-savingly integrated into your AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her sleep therapy device and is already included in the scope of delivery. Now, simply connect the ClimateLineAir breathing tube, available as an accessory, and you can therapy with your desired air temperature and humidity. Compared to the predecessor device S9™ AutoSet, you save a full 25% of space on your bedside table (device including humidifier).

Control of your therapy data

The device provides your treating physician with comprehensive and meaningful data for therapy treatment if required. This data is stored on an SD card and can be read by the physician.
