Important Information for Prescription Purchases


Sales in the Resmed Online Shop are exclusively for self-payers. We cannot offer you the option of purchasing items via a prescription issued to you in the Resmed Online Shop, as we require prior approval from your health insurance company for billing purposes. Therefore, we cannot reimburse you for the purchase price if you submit a prescription to us only after completing the purchase.

This is regulated in § 2 paragraph 1 of our General Terms and Conditions. When ordering in the Online Shop, you are therefore obliged to pay for the purchased goods yourself.

I have statutory health insurance


What does this mean for me if I have statutory health insurance? The purchase of a product in the Resmed Online Shop is a pure private purchase. This means you act at your own expense and pay for the items you order yourself.

Important:
You cannot submit a prescription in the Resmed Online Shop after purchasing an item. This means you will not be reimbursed by Resmed or your health insurance company.

How do I proceed if I have a prescription from a doctor?
If you have a prescription from a doctor, you cannot redeem it in the Resmed Online Shop. To redeem the prescription, we offer you three options:

  1. send your prescription by e-mail to: kundenberatung@resmed.de or
  2. contact us by phone via our customer service at
    0800 – 2 777 000 ** or
  3. send us your prescription by mail to the following address:

    Mahatma-Gandhi-Platz 3
    81248 Munich

After successful approval by your health insurance company, we will automatically send you the item.


I have private health insurance


What does this mean for me if I have private health insurance? The purchase of a product in the Resmed Online Shop is a pure private purchase. This means you act at your own expense and pay for the items you order yourself.

Important:
You cannot submit a prescription in the Resmed Online Shop after purchasing an item.

How do I proceed if I have a prescription from a doctor?
It is best to clarify before purchasing in the Resmed Online Shop whether your private health insurance/subsidies will cover the costs of the item. This is the only way to ensure that you will be reimbursed the purchase price by your health insurance company or subsidy provider.

* Why a copy? You need your original prescription to submit it to your private health insurance company/subsidy provider.
